PITTSBURGH, February 1, 2018Wombat Security Technologies (Wombat), the leading provider of security awareness and training, today announces new features for its PhishAlarm® suspicious email reporting button. The latest functionality, including patented features, reinforces end user behavior in reporting suspected phishing emails and provides security and helpdesk teams with critical capabilities to streamline their efforts and focus their time on the most dangerous threats.

The latest PhishAlarm features include:

  • Customization - Ability to customize the attributes of PhishAlarm add-in including labels, names, export formats, and reporting actions, all of which will drive the increased usage of PhishAlarm across the enterprise.
  • Whitelist emails (patented) - Ability to separate trusted internal and external emails from suspicious emails that get reported, reducing the number of false positives and improving the productivity of security teams. The feature also provides organizations the unique opportunity to reinforce with end users which emails are legitimate and therefore should be trusted.
  • Advanced attachments - Features for simulated phishing emails with attachments to enable better user tracking and reporting.
  • Email clients – PhishAlarm supports the largest number of email clients in the industry, with support for Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016 and Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2016, browser-based Office 365 and Gmail email clients as well as Outlook Web Access (OWA) for iPhone, iPad, and Android and will continue expanding coverage in future releases.

Combined, these features provide the most robust functionality in the industry, allowing security teams to efficiently manage their suspicious email inbox and thereby focus their efforts on the most significant threats.
