Pittsburgh, PA –Dec. 9, 2014 – Wombat Security Technologies (Wombat) released a new industry case study that shows how one global manufacturing company reduced malware infections by 46% in just four months through employee education. Although the company was prospering, its new information security officer was concerned that security training for its employees was virtually non-existent. The information security officer estimates remediation costs of nearly $700,000 per year.

Overall, the reduction translates into a return on investment of nearly 700% annually based solely on remediation cost savings. The company is now planning to expand the program from a voluntary one to a mandatory curriculum with an expansion of the topics covered.
